Design Integrator PSBU


We are looking for a talented Design Integrator PSBU to join our team specializing in Engineering Services for our Power Systems Business Unit in Seymour Indiana.

This engineering service focused position includes those who develop and maintain the information technologies, functional excellence or product information change management that enables the engineering practitioners to work more efficiently and effectively.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Applies technical information and knowledge-based activities, fulfills work requests to standardized policies and procedures and documents results.

  • Applies and supports information processes such as Engineering Standard Work (ESW), Value Package Introduction (VPI), product change management and data repositories such as technical information libraries, all required to meet the needs of practitioners within the technical function.

  • Obtains input and negotiates with a broad variety of technical practitioners to deliver results that directly or indirectly enable high quality processes, tools, drawings, or specifications.

  • Applies academic knowledge and existing experience to take action and make decisions that progress projects forward without sacrificing project quality expectations.

  • Owns problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems or services with a relatively low degree of technical complexity and ambiguity.

  • Provides independent execution of established work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge; engages with the improvement of systems and processes

  • Involves minimal direct management of people but could involve the coordination and direction of work amongst technicians and/or temporary student employees.

  • Contributes effectively toward team goals, exhibits influence within a work group and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role


To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant technical disciplines is required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience required.

  • Responsible for several components of a project or a complex component of a project.

  • Use program tools to manage part numbers, reports, product structure, and basic CAD\CREO for Engine Top Level assemblies.

  • Maintain precise data for item data, structure, shop orders, and reports for Engineering Bills of Material.

  • Knowledge & ability to use Six Sigma tools to improve processes.
