Engineering Project Manager


No, this isn’t one of those ordinary jobs.

If you are driven and motivated to become part of a dynamic team, we have an opening for an Engineering Project Manager in Mississauga, ON . Reporting to the Program Manager , you will manage, develop, and implement project(s) of varying complexity and size delivering Hydrogen Fuel Cell systems for Rail Applications from inception to completion.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Synthesize technical information from the project team to share with customers, management and other project stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the program manager and technical lead to drive product decisions that align with customer, business, and program objectives.

  • Develop and execute project plans in a matrix environment for a highly complex technical program.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, meeting minutes and project deliverables with the ability to present information in a clear, concise and organized manner.

  • Communicate regularly with technical teams, customers, management, and various internal departments (procurement, operations, R&D, finance, quality and safety).

  • Support cross-functional teams toward common project goals and new product development.

  • Set up budgets and timelines and communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding updates.

  • Monitor and communicate project status and deliverables to stakeholders.

  • Identify and assign appropriate resources to accomplish various project tasks.

  • Guide and coach team members through various stages of the project, including providing developmental feedback to team members.


Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical background preferred).

  • Professional Engineering designation (or eligibility to obtain).

  • Project Management training is considered an asset.


  • 5 - 8 years of progressive technical experience in a professional work environment.

  • Experience leading technical projects.

  • Proven ability to communicate between technical project teams and clients, at both a technical and a high level.

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical systems and process design.

  • Exposure to Rail / Fuel Cell / Hydrogen technology is not required but considered an asset.
