This is an exciting opportunity in Milton Keynes for a Software Engineering Manager.
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
You will grow, develop and enthuse a talented group of Automotive Software Engineers to deliver a best-in-class Battery Management System.
You will take Software requirements and lead the full-lifecycle development work to produce a software structure that enables the large-scale production of BMS controls for various applications, regulatory and legislative environments, and customer specifications.
You will grow the Software development capability to ensure leading development practices are followed.
You will lead the development of embedded systems in a Real-Time Operating System environment (RTOS).
Skills and Experience Required:
Full project lifecycle Linear and Object-Oriented Software development experience.
Solid understanding of the ASpice development process and ASpice assessment process.
Practical experience with common IDE’s such as CodeWarrior and IAR. In-depth knowledge of Embedded programming techniques, low level programming languages and hardware device drivers such as SPI, I2C, UART etc.
High degree of competency with CAN protocols such as CANopen and J1939.
Experience of team resource management, including the monitoring of resource deployment cost, timing allocations, project prioritisation, personnel staffing.
Project Management – able to establish and maintain the "Balanced Triangle" of Scope, Schedule and Resources for a temporary effort (a "project").
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
- Bachelors’ degree in software engineering-related discipline, or equivalent experience required.
Compensation and Benefits
In return we can offer a salary between £54,000k – £70,000(dependent on experience).
