Validation Engineer

Description

We are looking for a Validation Engineer to verify and validate the functionality of our hydrogen fuel cell products across a range of customer requirements and applications. You will collate and analyze data from our products in the field and collaborate with the engineering team to assess product risk and performance. This work will be integral in driving quality decisions and supporting the development of the technology.

The role will be part of our New Power business unit, based in Herten, Germany.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Plan, track and evaluate results from a wide range of analyses and functional tests to assess product risk and performance. These results are expected to drive quality decisions and proactively resolve product issues before the product reaches the customer.

  • Obtain input key stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver an optimized analytical and experimental verification plan to the engineering team.

  • Suggest ideas in the areas of verification and validation that impact product performance, reliability, and durability.

  • Investigate potential component concerns or issues, understands causal mechanisms, and recommend appropriate action with guidance from more experienced team members. Ensure accurate reporting and documentation.

  • Supports the improvement of processes such as technical requirements, Engineering Standard Work, test planning, and problem solving to support the processes and enable high quality decision making.

  • Contribute effectively toward team goals, exhibits influence within a work group and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.

Qualifications

To be a success in your role you will need;

  • Min. bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.

  • Previous experience in validation and/or testing is preferred.

  • To be a practical problem solver with the ability to interrogate technical data.

  • German language skills on professional level with English language skills on conversational level are essential.
