Base hourly rate is commensurate with experience. This Central Change Control (CCC) team member supports the creation, coordination and processing of Manufacturing Change Notices and Product Changes (MCNs). Delivers cross functional support of process documentation through image manipulation and document creation.
Support Value Package Introduction (VPI) and Value Package Change (VPC) by processing Manufacturing Change Notices and Product Changes (MCNs). Create MCNs and perform Oracle maintenance (item attributes, routings, BOMs, identify components for backflushing when/where).
Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining engineering routing data within the ERP system including routing operations, routing resources, standard operations, schedule groups, completion sub-inventories and effectivity dates based on labor standards received from manufacturing engineers.
Manages and supports process documentation functions by maintaining the Process Documentation database and utilizing image editing software and desktop publishing software to create and maintain consistent templates, formats, layouts, and published documents.
Creates and utilizes OBIEE reports as needed and organize meaningful data into spreadsheets to create data load specifications for loading large amounts of data into the ERP system.
Coordinates and manages the product requirements and product change management processes in order to ensure that specification documents (e.g. drawing, structure, standards and software) are clear, concise and valid across the organization. Works under minimal supervision.
Conducts audits of product specification documents (e.g. drawing, structure, standards and software) and ensures adherence to Product Release standards.
Provides information and education (as necessary) to stakeholders regarding standards and rules for documenting Cummins product specifications, including engineering, marketing, services and manufacturing processes.
Identifies internal stakeholders to solve queries and ensures compliance with product requirements.
Develops and implements practices and work instructions for the product requirements and change management processes.
Trains and supports less experienced Documentation Controllers.
Leads and/or participates in basic and/or complex improvement projects linked to the product requirements and related change management processes.
Minimum 4 years of related work experience
Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software preferred
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Manufacturing Change Notice (MCN) process and control systems preferred
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, photo editing, desktop publishing, presentation and database applications
Strong organizational, logical, and analytical skills
Project management skills are essential
Ability to read and understand prints
Programming knowledge or ability is required

Product Knowledge - Knowledge of product offerings is preferred
Ability to establish and maintain credibility with internal customers
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Uses a systems-thinking approach to ensure continuity of processes
