This is an exciting opportunity for Electronic Controls - Manager #MN153 in Fridley, Minnesota
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Develop electrical and electronics specifications and design electrical and electronic systems and components.
Apply very strong knowledge of engineering principles to lead technical aspects of engineering projects and assignments.
Analyze and simulate electrical and electronic capabilities and implement and generate software while verifying and validating controls hardware and software.
Tune, release, service, maintain, and troubleshoot controls, hardware, and software.
Manage life-cycle obsolescence by designing and analyzing Electric generators/ Alternators and motors, Electrical Circuit Design, and performance simulation of Electrical Power Systems.
Utilize extensive knowledge of all electrical and electronic elements within the system, including open and closed loops controls, diagnostics and OBD, algorithms, electronic controls modules and related microcontroller architectures, sensors and switches, interconnects and harnesses, and datalinks and communication networks in order to lead medium to large-sized technical groups in resolving problems and issues that arise while managing execution.
Develop Embedded Software Design to track electronic elements within the system Support continuous improvement initiatives applying Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) including Critical Parameter Management and formulate employee and department development plans for transferring technical knowledge.
Assess performance of electrical and electronic systems and components and provide feedback to direct reports.
Confer with engineers, stakeholders, and vendors to discuss existing or potential electronics engineering projects and products.
Evaluate project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, and compatibility in the resolution of complex electronics engineering problems.
Define planning and review practices that result in few missed milestones and minimal surprises, and effectively delegate to ensure completion of complex electrical and electronic projects and work.
Utilize industry datalinksand communication networksincluding CAN J1939 and CAN2B to analyze communication betweenengine and generator set Electronic Control Modules (ECM) and the control systems.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Positions require aMaster’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering, or related fieldand3 years of experience as a Controls, Systems, Software Engineer, Technical Lead or related position.
Alternatively, the employer will accept aBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Controls, Systems, Software Engineer, Technical Lead or related position.
JOB SITE: Fridley, Minnesota
WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
