We are looking for an enthusiastic RePower Program Customer Engineering Technical Specialist to join our Customer Engineering team specialising in developing / fostering machine manufacturer accounts and representing the customer within our Engine Business Unit in Darlington UK / Your remote home office. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to identify suitable products and solutions for the customer.

  • Development of technical specifications for our customers’ vehicles, implementing new design configurations and delivering high performance equipment and systems solutions in a variety of applications

  • Navigate new, unique, or difficult technical challenges to deliver exceptional vehicles using your skills in systems integration and problem solving.

  • Engage your engineering expertise in the areas of product selection, design and integration that will optimize engine performance.

  • Investigate integration and installation problems, recommending appropriate action and owning problem resolution with the guidance of system experts within the team.

  • Ensure installation quality by validating prototype machine performance and ensuring installations meet Cummins requirements.

  • Participate in new product development programs, design reviews and issue resolution meetings to represent the customer and convey their views / challenges.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Ability to clearly communicate the appropriate level of technical information/issues/proposals with peers, management, and machine manufacturers, whilst maintaining confidentiality standards. The ability to consider both technical and commercial context is also important.

  • System engineering and good customer facing experience.

  • Good Test and data analysis skills, with a broad knowledge of engineering principles

  • Bachelors Degree in STEM or equivalent technical discipline.
