Controls Engineer – Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle
We are currently seeking a Controls Engineer to work on the complete programming of the software of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles within New Power Business Unit based in Darlington or remotely around the UK.
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways;
Document interfaces between Cummins controllers and base vehicle
Drive creation of software, if needed, to allow seamless integration of Cummins controllers into base vehicle
Document interfaces between Cummins controllers and supplier components in conjunction with System Integration engineers
Drive creation of software, if needed, to allow integration of supplier components with Cummins controllers
Test and validate component software interfaces in conjunction with System Integration engineers
Lead all software tuning work for fuel cell controller and system controller
Ensure that latest software, settings and tuning strategies are transferred from central software teams to local project
Construct embedded software using industry best practices and robust software engineering principles and verify software updates to ensure quality products.
To be a success in this role you will need;
Relevant College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines would be beneficial.
Experience integrating software and controls with customer systems is a must.
Experience with BEV or FCEV software and controls preferred
Compensation and benefits;
Salary depending on experience £40,000 - £47,000
Variable compensation Bonus – 8%
