We are looking for a talented Technical Specialist Battery Modeling to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Corporate Business Unit/ CBS Segment in Columbus, IN or your your approved remote home office location.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Develop electrical and/or electrochemical battery models and algorithms.
Design experiments at the cell levels to characterize and validate developed control- oriented models & algorithms
Work with software engineering and firmware engineering teams to define requirements for battery management system software
Collaborate with the electrochemistry team to understand battery behavior and design necessary test plans for battery management system development
Interface with thermal modeling group to understand thermal system behavior and limitations for battery management system development
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
M.S. in engineering with a minimum 3 years of experience or Ph.D. in engineering modeling and controls.
Understanding of battery modeling, estimation, and control methods.
Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink and functional safety and AUTOSAR is a plus
Good understanding of battery behavior from beginning of life through end of life

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
