On Highway Controls Software Engineer
Description
We are looking for a talented On Highway Controls Software Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Engine Business Unit in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Convert software from current build environment to Cummins next generation build environment (AUTOSAR)
Provide software support for feature requests and fixes for grid heater control, AC control, alternator control, fan control, auxiliary fuel tank and end of line testing.
Conduct functional safety software updates.
Fuel system software work, eTPU drivers, FSASIC, and fuel system drivers. Software interface to externally supplied fuel system software and passing data across cores of a multicore processor.
Subject matter responsibility: Datalink, functional safety, grid heaters and fuel systems.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
College, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant technical disciplines is required. Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
Minimum 1-year entry level engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required.
Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
Experience with GitLab, automated unit testing, vehicle and bench testing, and datalink test scripts.
Hand code in C, debug using machine code and MATLAB/Simulink.
This position will require some vehicle testing so a valid US driver’s license is required.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
