FSSC Diagnostics Team Technical Specialist (Hybrid)
Description
We are looking for a talented Diagnostics Controls Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for Cummins Electronics and Fuel Systems in Columbus, IN (Hybrid – Onsite 1-2 days per week).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
The FSSC Diagnostics Team Technical Specialist will be responsible for the development of new fuel system diagnostic features.
Tuning and validating existing diagnostic features.
Will develop a detailed understanding of how fuel systems embedded software controls a high-pressure common rail fuel system.
Hands-on testing/troubleshooting on bench, fuel system rigs, engines and vehicles to assure the fuel systems software is functioning properly and/or to duplicate problems found by customers.
Preparing test plans and preparing review materials/paperwork.
Other key responsibilities include providing on-site troubleshooting assistance and participating in warranty cost reduction projects for North America products.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
2 years of experience with prior Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required.
Ability to read and understand Simulink diagrams.
Demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making as well as strong communication skills (oral and written).
