Electronics Engineering Associate (Controls Engineering Associate) - (Hourly) Columbus, Indiana
We are looking for a talented C0ntrols Engineering Associate to join our team at the Cummins Technical Center in Columbus, IN with starting pay of $32.00 -$34.50/hour.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Support development vehicle and engine test cell operations in multiple locations with troubleshooting vehicle controls, automated test system related problems from both a hardware & software perspective.
Critical first look at newly built VPI software and calibration prototype engineering releases. This includes associated bench and vehicle triage and mitigation options support for system anomalies identified.
Manage& schedule tests; design more effective test methods and data acquisition processes and equipment; develop & execute test plans; lead the trouble shooting process; verify proposed solutions; organize test schedules, issues, manage hardware and software upgrades; design & procure fixtures for special tests; create test software needed for special applications, document hardware test measurements, and test summaries; facilitate the prioritization process for testing, and development of databases.
Work with performance engineers to develop measurement techniques; lead development execution of customer/supplier agreements with test cell engineers; lead retest hardware compliance & provide test support to resolve test issues; manage/lead test cell and engine issue resolution process.
Perform data analysis & documentation of systems tests & calibration reviews in Tech Reports; present test finding.
CDL desired, but not required. Travel as required by the position. Perform other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR
Associates degree from an accredited program in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR
Relevant military education and experience.
