Electronic Controls Technical Specialist
We are looking for a talented Electronic Controls Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Corporate Business Unit in Columbus, IN / your remote home office.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Implementation of electronic controls through calibration tuning of VPI (Value Package Introduction) program development.
Completion of 3-Step work for On Board Diagnostics under ownership to meet emission regulations.
Support of milestone design reviews for VPI products.
Support of reported field issues using problem solving tools such as FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), RCA (Root Cause Analysis), FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) and through the FIRG (Failure Incident Review Group) process.
Serve as a liaison between the calibration integration team and VPI (Value Package Introduction) program.
Must be comfortable collaborating in cross functional settings and working closely with team members.
Lead tool and process development to facilitate data analysis, issue resolution and improve the quality of our deliverables.
Coach new/less experienced employees on team deliverables, tools, and processes.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required with a focus in electrical, mechanical or software is preferred
5 years of related professional experience
Candidate must possess solid technical and analytical skills
Ability to understand customer requirements and solid grasp of calibration development, data analysis, verification and validation and relevant tools such as MATLAB and Simulink
Must be a team player and be comfortable supporting multiple products and customers
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
